Fertilizing and Weed Control
Sunshine offers a complete Program of Fertilizing Services & Weed Control Services. Bill would be the guy to talk with on what your concerns are on your lawn and what it needs. Bill likes to tackle the pesky weeds. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to weeds and if he doesn’t know something he is sure quick to find out.
We have two packages of Fertilizing and Weed Control that we recommend.
Ala Carte. You may pick any of the apps that fit your budget needs. They are:
#1 Early Spring Preemerge.
This first app consists of an Early Spring Fertilizer with a preemerge. It’s a fertilizer that turns grass green and starts its growing process with the Preemerge Application which stops crabgrass and stops weed seeds from growing. Our program with preemerge is of professional strength. You will see better results with our preemerge rather that one that was bought at your local chain store. NOTE: It cannot be applied to newly seeded areas as it will stop the grass seed from germinating.
#2 Early Summer Weed and Feed.
It is a granular fertilizer that covers your grass giving it food and nutrients to thrive along with broadleaf control. Takes care of your dandelions, thistles, creeping charlie, clover, etc. Anything that isn’t grass.
#3 Late Summer weed and feed with spot spraying
This app is fertilizing your grass again giving it another kick of nutrients along with spot spraying the pesky weeds.
#4 Winterizer.
Fall winterizer that feeds the roots to keep your grass healthy and fed over the winter months.
Basic Fertilizing Package
Some customers want different things. A basic package to us would be apps #1, #2 and #4. We think those are crucial. Some customers only want apps # 2 and #3. The choice is up to you and whatever package fits your budget.
Premium Fertilizing Package.
This package has applications #1, #2 and #4 above but adds a Late Summer Weed and Feed to the program. This ensures you are fully covered and are giving your grass the best program available. #3 is a later summer weed and feed with a spot spray to get weeds that didn’t die the first time. This application keeps your grass lush and green.
*** As with any application of Weed Control PLEASE ensure the safety to all your pets and children and stay off until dry. Once dry it is fine.
*** Also our fertilizer is phosphorus-free. It will not hurt the lakes, streams or ponds. Rest assured that we follow all Minnesota rules, guidelines and are licensed in all the right ways. We don’t want anything to happen to our beautiful lakes either…
